The human mind literally cannot comprehend what a trillion really is. Politicians throw the word around as if they truly understand it. What a joke!

The concept of a trillion dollars is sometimes difficult to understand—let us just say it a lot of money. Spending had totally got out of control. Politicians on the left now feel this is to only way to get us out of this mess and those on the right call for less spending. Right now the Keynesian economist have the ear of the president and I think this is unfortunate in the Keynesian economics have proved to be less than sucessful in those countries where it has been tried. Visit me sometime at Totus. Mine is also a fairly new blog. It takes many hours, many hours to get your page rank up unless you are willing to put out some money and I’m not. I try to visit new blogs and after several visits if the blog in one that agrees with my political thinking I will add them to my blogroll and hope they will do the same. One key in writing good post on breaking events. Good luck with your efforts. I’ve had little problems with spamming, but have had some unwelcome guest.

It would have been bad to spend just one trillion dollars but now Obama’s budget will easily go 12 trillion over the next few years, hows that for change!

I think the government has thrown these huge numbers around so much that they have really lost all meaning to the average person. It is beyond most peoples comprehension. I think this is why they get away with spending money like this. The human mind just cannot grasp numbers so large. We have little reference. I think your examples are helpful and may get people thinking. The Silent Majority
